In order to meetrapidlygrowing electricity demand of the country and to ensure a secure electricity supply, Electricty Market Law (4628) was issued in 2001. With this strategy, electricty market has been open to privatesector and competition.

Law on utilization of Renewable Energy Resources for the Purpose of Generating Electrical Energy (5346) was issued in 2005. This law encouragedthe utilization of national renewable energy resources for generating electrical energy. In this context Etkin Group of Companies, with 23 yearsexperience on Engineering, Project Management, Financing and Organisation Engineering Investment, made a decision to became an investor company in a verycriticalimportantsector in Turkey.

Taking into account this circumtances Etkin Group of Companies made a decision on generating electrical energy from national and renewable energy resources.
